Wow....just wow. it's such a complex situation; my head is spinning. Good investigative work, Zach. I can understand why some might be upset at your "pesky" journalism, and some of the events of the past 45 days makes more sense to me.

How much did Scientology pay you for this bias hateful drivel? Many ex members have sued successfully for gross abuses, they have “settled” hundreds. The Danny Masterson case proved Scientology harassed his victims and had covered up his crimes for decades. They have covered up literal child abuse. Hundreds of ex members have spoken out about enforced punishing labour camp called the RPF, being tortured. Brainwashing so severe it’s impossible to imagine unless you’ve been a victim. Also of course there’s the little matter of forced abortions. And you chose to refer to Scientology’s own hate site (there’s one on every ex member who has spoken out about their abusive practices). That’s very telling. You’ve attacked other protestors for earning money for their troubles? So what? All that matters is the cause. Scientology is an abusive human trafficking cult. Maybe watch the story of Rosemary Brown on Blown for Good website or Mike Brown 101. A woman in her 70s who was put back to work straight after heart surgery and whose identity was used by Scientology to obtain $1000s in loans. Luckily her son helped her escape from a “Scientology home”. She had been told to stop oxygen and meds and to “drop her body”. She is now thriving with the living care of her family. As soon as she learned the truth about the cult, she spoke out. It’s an horrific story. Or maybe read about the death of Lisa McPherson, a sea org member who had been locked up for weeks by Scientology after they discharged her from psychiatric care. She was having a mental breakdown, self harming, not eating or drinking. Scientology’s answer? Lock her up. Don’t let the “evil psychs” near her. When she was dying and her security guards were finally told to take her to hospital by David Miscavige, they drove miles, going past several hospitals. The one they eventually took her to had a Scientology Dr. working there. Tragically, it was too late. There are literally hundreds of stories like this. In fact, currently on L.Ron Hubbard Way, they have a permit to hold a “Kids Fest”. They are recruiting. The following week there’s a careers talk. What do you think that’s going to be encouraging people to consider?

It’s easier to turn a blind eye to these abuses and accept Scientology’s dirty money rather than do real research about what these protests are really about and what’s at stake. SPTV hasn’t stopped Scientology and probably never will. Why did you make Aaron Smith Levin such a central part of your coverage? He’s merely a thorn in the side of the monstrous multi billion dollar cult along with many other tiny thorns. William Gude tragically lost his teenage son. He was shot to death. The subsequent investigation by LAPD frustrated him and began his cop-watching work, exposing police corruption. It was while he was cop-watching and filming a questionable arrest by LAPD that he first encountered Scientology. He had one foot on their door entrance and one of them came out and barked at him to move, using disgusting language. He was the first to publicly protest outside that testing centre.

This drew peoples attention to Scientology and he, along with many others started to look into them on YouTube, reading the many many books exposing this cult as well as documentaries. Many have seen the Leah Remini TV series Scientology The Aftermath.

You chose to write against the protestors on behalf of Scientology.

You clearly have no principles or conscience.

Your aspirations of having a successful career as an investigative journalist are clearly deluded. Thank goodness for that.

I'm not paid by Scientology at all. I've written about these things in the past. I'm covering the protest because that's a moving story. If you don't like the facts and prefer alternates there's nothing I can do about that. My goal is tell the whole story, not just what SPTV viewers might want to be told. Aaron Smith-Levin is clearly central to this protest movement. He's openly boasted about supporting it, featured it on his channel numerous times and even been assaulted while attending it in Hollywood. So to not talk about this wouldn't be good coverage of politics, investigations and media! You're just going to have to deal with my objectivity and reporting of the facts. "You clearly have no principles or conscience." Seriously?

For the love of god, get an editor.

This thing is riddled with non-sequiturs, sentence fragments, verb disagreements, and the flow is disorienting. Names are mentioned without providing context, opening paragraph sentences bear no relationship to the remainder of the paragraph… I could go on and on. This took forever to get through, because each sentence had to be parsed multiple times. Why abuse your readers like that???

I’ll leave it to others to address the bizarre and rambling content. But I will say this… We get it: You’re proud of your new iPhone.

Damn proud. Seems to me you read it just fine! You don't like my style. Maybe you're the Bad Actor? Really funny. Love this story. It's full of trolls.

I disagree. I think it's well written and covers all angles of this multi faceted movement. It didn't take me long to read at all...certainly no need to re read lines...but then again, I'm well read. 👌 😉

Nicely written Zach.
